On September 14 a new exhibit from The History Center will open on the third floor of the Cedar Rapids Public Library. Snapshots by William Baylis will highlight the numerous works of William Baylis in both print and postcard formats. This exhibit is ideal for those looking to gain insight into the sights of Linn County at the turn of the 20th century.
Prints of Baylis’ photos and postcards, along with a camera owned by the prolific photographer, will be on display through August 2018. Along with the exhibit, The History Center will provide Baylis-themed programming, including lectures and walking tours, allowing history and photography enthusiasts alike to engage with the legacy of William Baylis in Linn County.
